Overview

This workshop is designed to provide beginner to intermediate-level participants in biology, entomology, biotechnology, and related fields with a comprehensive foundation in bioinformatics and vector genomics data analysis. Trainees will learn theoretical principles and gain hands-on experience with widely used tools and techniques for analysing DNA, RNA, and protein data. The course is tailored to equip trainees with practical skills to manage and analyse big Omics datasets, fostering independence and democratising access to bioinformatics knowledge. By decentralising these essential skills, trainees will gain the confidence to handle real-world data and conduct their analyses, regardless of institutional or infrastructural constraints.

TESTIMONIALS

ESTELLE MEWAMBA

Post-doctoral researcher

Thanks to the facilitators, I feel more confident in handling genomic data. We will master all the concept with time, but I am no more afraid of the black screen

CHASTINE WELADJI

IT Manager

I would like to extend my gratitude to Prof Charles Wondji, Principal Investigator of the project. I have been working here at CRID for 4 years but I did not learn a lot as during this week. We understood why staff need a good internet connection to work, we will strive to meet standards of international workshops.
