Description
This project component focuses on strengthening stakeholder engagement, communication, and research uptake to ensure the visibility, relevance, and impact of AVecGen’s activities. A key priority is engaging with international and regional stakeholders, including research institutions, public health agencies, and funding bodies, to foster collaboration, alignment of goals, and shared ownership of outcomes. To support this, a series of stakeholder outreach activities will be organized, including workshops, symposia, and webinars. These events will serve as platforms for knowledge exchange, capacity building, and dialogue around the integration of genomics and bioinformatics into vector control and public health strategies. In parallel, the project will develop interactive platforms to facilitate ongoing engagement with national malaria control programs (NMCPs) and other key actors. This includes the creation or enhancement of web-based visual tools, such as IRMapper, to support data visualization, interpretation, and decision-making. Efforts will also be made to strengthen communication and research uptake, ensuring that AVecGen’s findings and innovations are effectively disseminated to both scientific and non-scientific audiences. This will involve tailored communication strategies, policy briefs, and multimedia content. Finally, the project will provide technical assistance to stakeholders, offering expert support in the application of genomic tools, data analysis, and integration of findings into policy and practice.
